Antoine VOLLON (Lyon 1833 - Paris 1900) An old quarter, a corner in Montmartre? Oak panel, one board, not parqueted 20 x 24.5 cm Signed lower right "A Vollon". Inscribed on a label on the reverse of the panel "Vente Ader C.P / Paysage par Vollon n° 145 ? vente du 28 juin 1961 salle 6". Provenance: Anonymous sale, Paris, Hôtel Drouot (Maître Etienne Ader), June 28, 1961, no. 145 (Les maisons). We find the same point of view in Vollon's composition in the Mesdag museum in The Hague (Canvas, 24.5 x 19 cm).
