Amsterdam, Leyden, The Hague, Utrecht, 1740. 8 vol. in-folio, period brown calf, back with 6 nerves, brown and cream morocco title and tomaison pieces (defects of use in rel. including 5 uncovered headdresses, superficial rubbing, blunt corners, some worn cuts; worm stitching on the upper plate of t.1. extending into the flight, without gravity, some sporadic wetting and rare marginal worm stitches; the end of the letter "D" erroneously bound after "E" in the same volume, a detached f. in t.7). "In [this] penultimate edition, Amsterdam, 1740, 8 vols. in fol. due to the care of Sieur Platel, not only is the first volume of Gouget recast, but various new articles have been added, as well as several passages that the last editor did not entirely adopt" (Brunet III, 1901).
