Enclosed is a poster from the Musée des Patriotes: n°1 Tirez Lâches !!!
This collection was loaned to the Musée de Bretagne in 2010.
Very fragile paper, frayed edges, tears and missing parts.
Victor Lenepveu's large-scale anti-Dreyfus cartoons in full color form the fearsome "Museum of Horrors". In their color, obscenity and cruelty, the Musée des Horreurs posters reach a peak of abjection. Rarely equaled in violence, these caricatures are all the more effective because the faces of the personalities depicted are identifiable at first glance. Rarely has anti-Semitic hatred reached such heights in France, and never has it found a more effective illustrator than Victor Lenepveu, whose images are all the more terrifying for their remarkable caricature and impressive format.
