SALE BY APPOINTMENT
The Trésor de la rue Mouffetard was discovered by chance on May 24, 1938 at 53 rue Mouffetard, Paris, by workers demolishing the building. It consisted of some 3,500 Louis XV gold coins, some of which were found in the wills of Louis Nivelle, the King's secretary. Genealogists discovered 83 descendants in 1938. The expert Etienne Bourgey was commissioned to divide the estate among his heirs.
