Jacques FLECHEMULLER (1945) Sisters Twister Oil on canvas, signed lower left and titled in the canvas 46 x 30 cm Unframed Jacques Flèchemuller divides his time between his studio in Brooklyn, New York and the Ardèche. He studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts and the Ecole des Arts Appliqués in Paris. In 1973, 74 and 75, he took part in the Salon des Réalités Nouvelles. Since the early 80s, he has exhibited regularly in New York in several galleries. His work can be found in numerous institutions in France and the United States. His imagery is characterized by a penchant for the absurdity behind images of advertising and popular culture, filtered through a certain skepticism and post-pop artistic sensibility.
