Paul HUET (Paris 1803 - 1869) The Côte de Grâce near Honfleur Cardboard monogrammed lower left "P.H". 15 x 21.5 cm Our painting is a sketch for canvas, signed and dated 1825, 48 x 68 cm, on the art market. We also compare it with the composition signed and dated 1836 and kept at the Musée des Beaux-Arts de La Rochelle (Canvas, 33 x 48.5 cm), showing a shepherdess and her flock under a threatening sky. On the right, we see a beach at low tide, with figures gathering shells.
