Montrosier fils Original canvas 27.5 x 22.5 cm Dedicated, signed, localized and dated upper left 'à mon ami Montrosier / A Stevens. / Paris juin 1878' Bears a label with recent inscriptions on the reverse of the stretcher. Carries an Alfred Stevens 1900 exhibition stamp on the reverse of the stretcher. Provenance: Collection monsieur Eugène Montrosier, Paris in 1900. Exhibition: Exposition de l'oeuvre d'Alfred Stevens, Paris, Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, February 6 - 27, 1900, no. 130. Eugene Montrosier (1836-?) was an art critic.
