CAMUS (Albert) (1913-1960). L.A.S. from his initials to his friend André Belamich, (s.l.n.d. [April 1]). 1 p. in-8. Retained envelope, NRF letterhead. He apologizes for not being able to "take her to the Lubéron". Camus indicates "But I have brought forward my return to Paris [...]. He goes on to give the stages of his journey. He hopes to see him again "in peace" on October 1st. André Belamich was a youthful friend and fellow student of Camus's in khâgne in Algiers (1932). They were members of the Algerian Communist Party, and together with other thinkers and artists formed what is today known as the "Ecole d'Alger". André Belamich is known as the translator of Garcia Lorca in France.
