(privil.), figs, contemporary brown basane, 6-ribbed spine (binding worn but solid, flaws including torn cuffs, mq. upper guard; sustained lateral wetness at beginning of volume, paper worn in margins of very first f., then sporadic in margins; worm spot in foot margins slightly more extensive but in margins p.85-110). Posthumous first edition of this curious treatise on horoscopes based on facial features. It is illustrated with some 800 figures in the text. At the end, it contains the editio princeps (in Greek with Latin translation) of a small treatise by Melampus on divination from moles. Engraved armorial bookplate (stained) of J.-M. Dutour-Vulliard (1695-1759).
