BARTOLI (Pietro Santi). Colonna Traiana eretta dal Senato, e popolo Romano all'imperatore Traiano Avgvsto nel svo foro in Roma... in Roma, G. G. de Rossi, [c. 1670]. Oblong folio, antique post ivory parchment, smooth spine, title in ink, all mounted on tabs (minor wear, one corner worn; pale halo in margin of very first f., small tear pl.42, anc. tear repaired pl.5, stain in margin pl.40, tear without lack in margin pl.114). An important work, almost entirely engraved on copper, describing the Trajan column. It consists of [6] double plates (title, dedication, 4 plates of plans and views of the base); [1] large folding plate (general view of the column); 119 double plates; a descriptive text by Alphonso Ciacono (14 pages and [1] f. of typographed and folding indexes).
