In-4, [4] f., 275 p., pl., contemporary mottled and glazed havana calf, ribbed spine, havana title-piece, ornamented caissons, triple gilt fillet on covers, double gilt fletching on edges (flaws in covers, snagging of head and nerves, rubbing, margins usually yellowed). First edition, illustrated with a folding map of Senegal, and 19 plates of mollusks and shellfish. Provenance: Eugène Salomon, Le Mans, 20th c. (stamp on title).
