Paris, Ferreyrol, 1891. 2 volumes in-12, identical bindings in half tan morocco with corners, smooth spine decorated with a composition of mosaic listels and gilt fleurons, author, title and date gilt, gilt fillet on the boards, illustrated covers and spine preserved, untrimmed [Carayon]. Beautifully bound copy of this meeting of two volumes which form the 1st and 2nd series of the Repertoire of the famous cabaret Le Chat Noir. The cover of the 1st volume entirely illustrated has been preserved in one piece by the binder. One of the 25 numbered first copies on japon (n°4). Provenance: Victor Mercier, jurist, president of the Cour de Cassation, his library sold in 1937 (engraved bookplate).
