In Paris, from the Impr. royale, 1768. 3 volumes in-12, figs, plates, contemporary speckled fawn calf, spine with 5 nerves, title and tomato pieces in garnet morocco, caissons decorated with the royal cipher, triple gilt fillet bordering the boards, royal arms repeated in the center of each board, gilt roulette at the necks and chasses, marbled edges, 3 corners skilfully restored Bilingual edition dedicated to the Duke of Choiseul, and provided with an extensive index. It is illustrated after Gravelot's compositions, with a fleuron engraved by Delaunay, repeated on the titles, and 6 figures engraved by Delaunay, Duclos, Massard, Rousseau and Saint-Aubin; and moreover 6 headers with Roman medals.
