DESAULT (Pierre-Joseph). Journal de chirurgie. In Paris, s.n., 1791-1792-[1795]. 4 volumes in-8, contemporary fawn half-basane, smooth spine, title-piece, stamped tomaison, tr. jaspées (2 rubbed headpieces; spotting, some faux-titre may be missing). First edition of this journal written by Desault, chief surgeon of the Hôtel-Dieu de Paris. All that has appeared, that is 22 issues: the publication was interrupted by the disappearance of the author in 1795. Volume 1 is illustrated with 3 engraved plates, we do not know if the work should contain more, but there is no apparent lack. This copy is preceded by : PETIT (Marc-Antoine).
